Heronsbill flowerThe heronsbill, genus (Erodium), is a perennial plant of the geranium family.  It’s relatively easy to grow and produces small, delicate fragrant flowers, about ½” in diameter, that bloom in a variety of colors from late spring to fall.

The plant enjoys full sun and is used mainly for ground cover, container gardens, fairy gardens, rock gardens, and alpine gardens. 

The Heronsbill plant thrives in US zones 6 – 9 and can tolerate winter temperatures as low as -10°F (Zone 6) and as high as 30°F (Zone 9). For more information, consult the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map.
